We do not accept published authors as reviewers.

If you are good friends with a published author we ask that you not review their books, but that works okay as we have plenty of books by lots of great authors available for you to choose from.

JERR rotates reviewers and authors so that the same reviewer isn’t reviewing the same author all the time. This keeps things fresh for the reviewer and for the authors.

Due to space limitations we must keep our reviews to approximately 300 words. We include a short synopsis, as our emphasis is on the reviewer’s impression of the book. We may take multiple reviews for a book’s but with our space limitations we will not use every synopsis.  However, we will use all reviewer impressions.

Please note: JERR is a non-profitable publication and as such, it does not provide financial compensation to either its reviewers or any members of the management team. Proceeds from selling of ad space go towards maintenance of the website.

Following is a sample review. This review is 312 words. Some will go over and some will go less, but this is the standard we strive for. You will receive an editing buddy once you join to help you stay within these restrictions. A Gold Star or Silver Star Review may be a little bit longer as we feel it is necessary to explain why you felt the book was worthy of the highest award.

Nyssa is facing an uncertain future. After 13 years of hard work and dedication to her job, she has been fired. When she goes to sleep that night, the last thing that she expects is to wake up in a strange place and to find her body strategically pierced … pierced?! … and are those chains??

After decades looking for his lifemate, emperor Tar of Zylar finally found her. Despite the fact that Zylar’s ruler is absolutely certain that he will have no trouble taming and molding her to the Zylan’s ways, the fact remains that Earth is last on the list of worlds from which to search for suitable lifemates. Even though Tar intended to break Nyssa gently, Nyssa herself made that impossible. The link that they share is strong and she is a fast learner.

“Zylan Captive: Zylar’s Moon Book 1” is Ravyn Wylde’s first book. As the title suggests, it is the first title of a series that, judging from this initial offering, promises to be excellent. The book is highly erotic, arousing, in short H-O-T. I was not even midway through the story and I was already envying Nyssa. Tar is the perfectly arrogant, overtly self-confident alpha male, yet he is also smitten by his lifemate. Nyssa makes a smart, strong, and resourceful heroine. She is learning to adapt but submission is not her thing so this makes for a good deal of conflict between the main characters which in turn translates into turns and twists that, along with the love story, make this an enthralling tale. The story is also sprinkled with humor. I look forward to learn more about the world of Zylar and to read Ms. Wylde’s future work.
